Ceylon OP Decaf CO2 Process
Tasting Notes: The liquor is bright orange and has a lot of smooth body.
(Sri Lanka/Black) Full leaf Ceylon OP decaffeinated using natural CO2 process. Long black and brown wiry leaves make this a consistently good tea at an excellent value. CO2 process keeps leaves intact and flavor is clean and bold which make it okay to add milk.
The CO2 decaf process uses highly pressurized natural carbon dioxide. There are no residual chemicals and the process has minimal effect on the flavor and other beneficial compounds inherent in the tea. The process further leaves the leaves with minimal breakage and thus a higher grade.
Water Temperature: 212°F (boiling)
Leaf to Water Ratio: 1 tablespoon per 8 ounces
Steep Time: 4 minutes (1st infusion), 5 minutes (2nd infusion)
