Coffee Review 93 pointsThis was previously a Serious Select coffee but due to high demand we've decided to keep it on as a regular listing.

New crop arrived late July 2016 in Grainpro.  News flash!  Just received 93 points from Coffee Review, their top pick.

This is the first time we've offered coffee from this farm and we are very excited about it. Costa Rica El Frente Black Honey microlot is grown in the mountainous region of Tarrazu in the Leon Costes micro-region at the impressive altitude of 1900 meters. The farm, El Frente, is run by the Fallas Mora Family who has owned the property since 2012; the coffee is then processed at the Cerro Verde micromill.

This particular lot is a Catuai variety and a black honey processing method, which means once the cherry is removed from the bean most of the mucilage remains during the drying process. This allows the inherent sugars in the beans to play a major flavor role allowing the coffees fruity flavors to shine through.
