Organic Assam Hathikuli Estate TGFOP

(India, Black) Assam Single Estate in the Golaghat district and the oldest section was planted in 1908. In 2007 the estate converted about one third of its land to organic farming and the following year made the step to bring organic tea gardening to the entire property. The word hathikuli means a place frequented by elephants. Hathikuli has the single largest contiguous area under organic cultivation in India; it borders the heritage wildlife sanctuary in Kaziranga.

This fine, whole leaf tea has some golden tips. Full body. Good value.
