Mexico Finca Kassandra Pacamara arrived here early summer in vacuum packages and it was very popular.  We offered Finca Kassandra last season and it had many happy customers, so we have brought it back again this year, though supply is once again limited.  It is likely to sell quickly.

The farm, which is 600 hectares total, has 320 hectares devoted to coffee production with approximately 8% growing the Pacamara varietal. This varietal is a cross between the Pacas mutation of Bourbon discovered in El Salvador in 1949 with the very large Maragogype bean.  We are ardent fans of well produced Pacamara and have offered several over the recent year.  When grown in the right conditions and processed well Pacamara coffee exhibit dark fruit flavors and jammy body.

The farm is located in the central region of the state of Veracruz region of Mexico which stands at an elevation of about 3900-4900 feet above sea level. Finca Kassandra was established in 1996 by the Rivas family who are well known for farming Macadamian nuts in addition to their award winning coffee.

Surrounded by rain forest the owners of Finca Kassandra take great care to ensure planting, harvesting, and processing is environmentally friendly. This coffee was very striking to our staff. We have just a small amount.
