Darjeeling 2nd Flush Jungpana Estate
(India/Black) Darjeeling has four picking seasons and over ninety individual gardens of estates, Jungpana being one of them. The first and second pickings, or flushes, are of particular distinction. Second flush tea, picked in May/June, offers rounded, fuller flavor that retain fragrance and is a characteristic of fine Darjeelings. Jungpana 2nd Flush is a top quality FTGFOP1 tea from a world-renowned estate. The Jungpana estate was started in 1899 and since its inception has been noted for its consistency in quality and award winning tea. This particular tea is colored black and gray with plenty of green. When cupped it becomes golden with a nice body and a sweet-floral flavor. Perfect as an after-dinner tea, Jungpana is well rounded with a fantastic lingering aftertaste.
