Thumbnail Filmstrip of Peppermint Leaves Images
Peppermint leaves create a mild, aromatic beverage. Pure peppermint leaves are often steeped as a soothing peppermint tea but is frequently part of herbal tea blends. Chamomile has been used for thousands of years as a beverage, a medicinal herb in remedies, and an aid to relaxation. Not a member of the tea plant, peppermint is actually a hybrid, or mix, of two other mints, spearmint and wintermint. There are medicinal and health claims made by some, widely disseminated on the internet. However, we make no such claims here. Rather, we suggest you can brew a tisane with these leaves for a soothing beverage or combine it with other herbs or flowers. Peppermint leaves do not contain caffeine.
