They are packed in foil bags with one-way valves and ship within hours of roasting so you may enjoy these coffees at their absolute peak of flavor.     Coffee from Panama's Elida Estate is among those highest in demand. We have but a small this past season, so we decided to make it a Serious Select coffee so that you can enjoy what little we have. Wilford Lamastus is masterful at finessing flavors from the cherries on his highly prized farms, all of prime coffee real estate in Boquete. The number of awards they have garnered now fill the shelves of two bookcases.

    Fruity and juicy cherry notes are mixed with high tones that moderate during cooling. Black tea tannins and blackcurrant flavors. Juicy, piquant and notably well balanced.

    Some Serious Select coffees derive from international coffee competitions which seek to rank the best coffee in a particular country in a given year, some are from private auctions - like the world renowned Hacienda Esmeralda from Panama - and still others are the product of experimentation by growers pushing the quality envelope.
